Hi there, I’m Kerry.

I’m Kerry, a life-long food and cooking enthusiast. Truly. The first books I took out of the library in elementary school were cookbooks! Here are some other things you might like to know about me.
I’m drawn to bold flavors, global ingredients, and recipes with a little twist.
The first recipe I can remember making is a one-pot spaghetti and meat sauce recipe from a kid’s cookbook. My mother maintains that it was very salty, but a good try.
I completed a culinary degree at Johnson and Wale’s University in 2008 through their part-time program. I worked my full-time job and drove to Providence every weekend to attend.
I’ve owned this blog since 2006, though updates have been sporadic. I’m now blogging full-time and I hope it will be my career moving forward.
I was a product manager at an online travel media company for the past 15-years. Covid-19 saw an end to that. I enjoy data-driven creative problem solving and working on technical solutions, so this blog is a technical and culinary adventure in one.
I’m not the best food photographer (but I am trying to learn better techniques!) My photos might not win any awards, but you can always count on the recipes being delicious.
I live in the Boston area with my husband, dog, and cat.
I live to cook, eat, and travel—and I’m happiest when I can do all three at the same time. I travel with spices and a chef’s knife!
I hope that you enjoy some of my recipes. Please rate them in the comments so I know which recipes you like best! And if you like a recipe, help me out in my new career and share with your friends on social media. Also, why not follow me there too:
